Privacy Notice
Last updated: September 27, 2026
1. Who we are
Marketproof is operated by Nikolay Belov (the "Seller", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide how and why your data is processed.
2. Data we collect and why
- Account data — name, email address, login credentials. Used to create and secure your account (legal basis: contract performance).
- Content you submit — business ideas, scorecard answers, competitor inputs. Used to provide evaluations and save your reports (legal basis: contract performance).
- Usage and telemetry — pages visited, feature usage, device identifiers, IP address. Used for security, fraud prevention, and product improvement (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Support messages — when you contact us. Used to respond and resolve issues (legal basis: legitimate interests).
Payment data (card details, billing address) is collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — we never see or store your card numbers.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record) — for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where needed.
- Authorities — where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. After account deletion, residual backups are cleared on a rolling schedule.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can export or delete your ideas and reports from your account, or contact us to exercise any right. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority; we respond to requests within one month.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where data leaves these regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level isolation of user data in our database.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies (and local storage) to keep you signed in and operate the service. We do not use marketing cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for sign-in to work.
9. Contact
For any privacy question or request, contact us through the support channel listed on your account page or via paddle.net for purchase-related inquiries.
